Our 2-cents

We believe that the knowledge of App design is important for a mobile tester. Detail-oriented research helps understand the user base and identify bugs and features that are redundant. Age, occupation, geographic location, literacy, and other countering factors also play a major role in understanding the customer requirement.

It’s important to focus on testing localizations that are based on geographies and include text and voice on-screen functionalities.

A tester should understand what effect the color of an element has on usability.

Testing is aimed to understand whether the current architecture and working of mobile are user-friendly for the target audience.

A tester must ensure to check the mobiles against interruption issues and ensure that the mobile responds appropriately. One must also take into account all the UI issues, app crashes, and push notifications.

Good communication skills are must for a tester to understand the developer/client requirement, and also express his/her concerns clearly. A lack of proper communication may create confusion among the team members or even with the clients, affecting the end-result.

Mobile testing is a budding resource towards a blossoming enterprise that breathes scalability and accessibility. With a device designed and tested for its functionality and usability, effective testing efforts can help provide the best experience for every potential customer.
